A driver swerved into oncoming traffic then crashed into a utility pole along a major Waukesha road, police say
WAUKESHA – A pickup truck Tuesday afternoon crashed into a utility pole off East Moreland Boulevard just west of Main Street, turning over and trapping the driver.
The incident was difficult by the discovery that the driver, who authorities believe suffered a “health-related celebration,” had a firearm, which delayed a health-related response soon after the driver unsuccessful to response issues by officers.
According to a preliminary report, Waukesha law enforcement stated the driver was involved in an incident that involved two other autos in the 1900 block of East Moreland Boulevard about 12:51 p.m. The truck had crossed into oncoming visitors as the driver missing regulate, crashing just south of the eastbound lanes.
The firearm issue caused some protection fears, law enforcement acknowledged.
“Our partnership and instruction with the Waukesha Fireplace Section was defined right now while we ensured a safe scene for them to supply progress clinical treatment to somebody struggling from a medical celebration,” Waukesha Law enforcement Capt. Dan Baumann claimed in a statement.
When the accident scene was deemed harmless, rescue staff extricated the driver, who was dealt with at the scene and then transported to a medical center.
The incident involved quite a few squad and rescue cars as officers secured the spot and diverted visitors absent from the accident web site, which was near the good deal line separating two automobile dealerships, Griffin Ford and Boucher Buick GMC, on Waukesha’s east aspect.
Eastbound website traffic on Moreland was pressured to switch left onto Ramona Street and onto Stardust Travel to navigate. The Wisconsin State Patrol also presented help.
